Funeral services for Glenn Melvin Lucas, age 77 of Madisonville, are set for 2:00 pm., Wednesday, July 21, at the Madisonville Funeral Home with Kim Squiers officiating. Burial will be in the Greer Cemetery in Madison County.

Visitation hours are 2 to 8 pm with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Dane Lucas, Robert Shadle, Michael Vohs, Craig Colquitt and Colby Colquitt.

Mr. Lucas was born on September 28, 1932 in Madisonville to Lloyd Oliver & Mary Bell (Knight) Lucas and passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010. He lived in Madisonville since 2000 formerly living in Houston where he worked for General Electric as an electric motor winder. Mr. Lucas was a life member of the VFW and served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and wood working. He also enjoyed bluegrass music and traveling but more than many thing, he loved being with his family and friends. Mr. Lucas was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Jo Ann Lucas and a sister, Jesse Faye Caldwell.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lucas of Midway; son, Cary Lucas & wife, Linda of Corrigan; daughter, Belinda Adams & husband, Sammy of Magnolia; step-son, Charles Wakefield of Houston; step-daughters, Ginger Curtis of Willis, Sherry Chavez of Houston; brother, Otha Lee Lucas & wife, Virgie of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Vohs & husband, Michael, Krystle Rudel, Brently Lucas, Bryce Adams and a great grandson, Zeb Vohs.
